Privacy Policy
What TYRE-D collects about you, why we need it, how long we keep it, and how to get it back or have it deleted.

The short version
We collect what we need to store your tires and give them back to the right person: who you are, how to reach you, where to collect from if you asked us to, and a record of the set itself. We do not sell your information, and we never have. There is no advertising or tracking on this site.
What we collect
- Account — your email address, and a name and phone number if you give them.
- Booking — the plan and season you chose, contact name and phone, and for mobile pickup the collection address and any access notes you write.
- Vehicle — the make and model, if you tell us, so we know what we are looking for in a driveway and what the set fits.
- Your set — brand, size, tread depth at each corner, rim condition, our notes, and photographs taken at intake.
- Technical — a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in, and ordinary server logs. No analytics or advertising cookies.
Why we have it
To take and fulfil your booking; to identify your set and release it to the right person; to record its condition so neither of us has to rely on memory; to contact you about your storage; and to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. We do not use it for anything else without asking you first.
Consent
You consent to this when you book or create an account. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy@tyre-d.ca — but be aware that we cannot store tires for someone we are not allowed to identify or contact, so withdrawing consent during an active term means ending it and collecting your set.
Where it lives, and who can see it
Our data is held by Supabase (Postgres database, authentication, and file storage) and the site runs on Vercel. Both are third-party providers acting on our instructions, and both may hold or process data outside Canada, where foreign courts and law enforcement may be able to compel access to it.
Internally, access is restricted by role: staff see the operational records they need to do intake and retrieval; only administrators can change roles or pricing. Condition photos are kept in private storage — not on the public internet — and a customer can only ever load their own. Every administrative change is written to an audit log.
How long we keep it
- Condition photos — 24 months after a set is checked out, then deleted. They exist to settle a question about condition; once that window has closed, they are just pictures of your property that we have no reason to hold.
- Booking and storage records — 7 years, which is what tax and limitation periods require.
- Your account — until you ask us to delete it.
Who we share it with
Our service providers above, and nobody else — except where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Your rights
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, or delete it. Most of it is already visible in your portal, and you can edit your own details there at any time.
For anything else, contact privacy@tyre-d.ca. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Cookies
One cookie, used to keep you signed in. It is set when you sign in and cleared when you sign out. There are no advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies on this site, which is why you have never seen a consent banner here.
Security, and what happens if it fails
Traffic is encrypted in transit, access is enforced at the database level rather than only in the app, and photo storage is private by default. No system is perfect. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we will delete it if we find we have.
Changes, and reaching us
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and tell you about anything material. For questions about privacy, contact privacy@tyre-d.ca. Our storage agreement is separate — see the Terms of Service.
