Terms of Service
These terms cover seasonal tire storage with TYRE-D. Booking a bay means agreeing to them, so they are written to be read rather than survived.

Who you're dealing with
These terms are between you and TYRE-D. In them, “we” and “us” mean TYRE-D; “you” means the person who booked the storage; and a set means the tires — mounted or unmounted — that you hand us under one booking.
What we provide
We store one set per booking in a climate-held facility, on a numbered shelf, for the term you selected. Every set is inspected and photographed on intake, tagged with a code, and tracked against that tag until you collect it.
We collect every set ourselves: you give us an address, we come to it, and we bring the set back to the facility. There is no counter drop-off. Storage and pickup are the only services covered by these terms. Anything listed on our site as “coming soon” — tire sales, mounting, balancing, or a driveway swap — is not part of this agreement and is not something you are paying for.
Booking, price and payment
The price shown when you book is the price for the term shown. It covers storage for that term and nothing else. Prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include HST, which is added at checkout. Payment is taken by card when you book, and your booking is not confirmed until it clears.
We may decline or cancel a booking if we are at capacity, if the set falls outside what we accept, or if we cannot safely collect it. If we cancel, anything you have paid for that booking is refunded in full.
What we can and can't accept
We do not accept, and may refuse at intake or handoff:
- tires that are unsafe to handle, contaminated, or leaking fluid;
- anything hazardous, perishable, illegal, or stolen, and anything stored inside or attached to the tires;
- sets you do not own or are not authorised to store.
Do not leave valuables with a set. We do not inventory anything but the tires and wheels themselves, and we are not responsible for anything else that arrives with them.
The condition report is the agreed record
At intake we measure tread depth at all four corners, record rim condition, and photograph the set. That record is available to you in your portal as soon as it exists.
This record is the agreed description of the condition your set arrived in. If you think it is wrong, tell us within 7 days of intake and we will re-inspect. After that, the intake record is what both of us rely on if there is ever a question about wear, damage, or which set is whose.
How we look after your set
We will take reasonable care of your set — the care a competent storer would take with its own property. Tires age regardless of storage: rubber hardens, compounds change, and a set stored perfectly will still be older when you collect it. That is normal wear, not damage.
We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by anything outside our reasonable control, including fire, flood, power failure, extreme weather, theft or vandalism by third parties, or defects that already existed in the set.
Limit of our responsibility
Where we are responsible for loss or damage to a set, our total liability is capped at $500 CAD per set, or the fair market value of the set at the time of loss, whichever is lower.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost time, rental costs, missed appointments, or the cost of a replacement set beyond that cap. If your set is worth materially more than the cap, insure it separately; your own policy may already cover property in storage, and it is worth asking before the season starts.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Getting your set back
Give us notice and we will have your set ready within 72 hours. We release a set to the person who booked it, or to someone they have told us in writing to release it to. We may ask for identification.
Any outstanding balance on a booking is payable before the set leaves the facility.
Your term renews automatically
Storage renews on its own at the end of each changeover season. Leaving your set with us is what renews it — you do not have to do anything, and neither do we. Each renewal is charged at our then-current rate for that season.
A changeover season runs September 1 to February 28 (winter) or March 1 to August 31 (summer).
To stop it, collect your set. Ask us for it through the portal or by phone and the agreement ends when the set leaves the facility — there is no cancellation fee and no notice period to serve. Renewals stop as soon as the set is no longer in our possession.
We will contact you before each renewal at the phone number and email on your account.
End of term, and sets nobody collects
We will contact you before your term ends using the phone number and email on your account — keep them current, because these are the only ways we have to reach you.
If a set is not collected and the term is not renewed, storage continues to accrue at our then-current rate.
Falling behind on payment, or otherwise breaking this agreement, is a default. If that happens we will send you a notice of default at the last contact details you gave us. If you do not respond within 21 days of that notice, the set is treated as abandoned, and we may take possession of it and dispose of it — including by public auction — applying the proceeds to what is owed and to the reasonable costs of recovering and selling it.
This is why the phone number and email on your account matter: the notice goes to whatever we have on file. Any surplus from a sale is returned to you as Ontario law requires.
Cancelling
You may cancel a booking any time before we take possession of the set, and anything paid is refunded. Once a set is in storage, a term that is ended early is not refunded pro rata unless we agree otherwise — the shelf was held for the season.
Mobile pickup
If we are collecting from you, someone over 18 must be present at the address during the window, the set must be accessible without entering a living space, and there must be somewhere lawful to stop the vehicle. If we cannot collect for a reason on your side, we will rebook once at no charge.
Our care and the condition record start at the moment the set is loaded — not before.
Your account
Keep your sign-in link and email secure; anyone with access to your email can reach your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you give us, including the address we collect from.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when you made it, and we will tell you about material changes before they affect an active term.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
